How to Play Kled
Champion-specific pre-match tips
Gameplay tips on Summoner's Rift
Lane Phase
Hold your first skill point in W until you land Q, then level it mid-combat to guarantee all four rapid attacks hit before the enemy can walk away.
Lane Phase
Engage the enemy champion immediately if you dismount while W is available, using your four rapid attacks and a point-blank unmounted Q to instantly remount.
Lane Phase
Cast E through the minion wave to gap-close onto your opponent, throw Q to tether them, and hold your E recast to follow their escape tool.
Mid Game
Fast-shove side lane waves using your Q and E, then instantly path into the fog of war to threaten a flank with your ult.
Mid Game
Cast your ult from out of vision when the enemy pushes past the river line to completely cut off their retreat path.
Mid Game
Kite backward with your dismounted Q knockback during skirmishes until your W comes off cooldown, then re-enter melee range to rapidly stack courage.
Late Game
Route your ult through a jungle choke point right before Baron or Elder Dragon spawns to force a hard, unavoidable engage onto the enemy team.
Late Game
Mark a priority carry with your initial E dash, then hold the recast to instantly track them if they use Flash or a dash to peel you off.
Late Game
Commit fully to attacking the closest target if you dismount during a late-game teamfight with W ready, because landing your full auto-attack chain and unmounted Q guarantees a remount.

Gameplay tips in Arena
- Enter mounted with W ready, land Q before E, and use E2 only if it keeps the tether or secures remount damage. R should deliver both partners, not leave your ally behind.
- Build Titanic Hydra, Black Cleaver, Sundered Sky, and Overlord's Bloodmail. Health and haste increase remount chances while preserving real damage.
- Prioritize Goliath, Goredrink, Dashing, and Mystic Punch. Durability and repeated attacks are the route back onto Skaarl.
- Track Courage before the next engage. When dismounted, fight around safe attacks that enable remount instead of chasing a low target beyond your partner's protection.

How to Counter Kled
Counter strategies and draft context
kite with range, burst before they sustain, or outscale with team-oriented compositions
- Vulnerable to CC during dives — Kled commits hard and can be punished if locked down
- Split-push collapses against coordinated responses — a strong duelist or 5-man collapse shuts Kled down
- Falls off significantly after 25 minutes — Kled's early dominance doesn't translate to late game
- Ranged champions that maintain distance in trades
Kled's Weaknesses
Layered crowd control and peel lock Kled down mid-dive. A stronger duelist sent to the side lane stalls Kled's split push. Safe, scaling compositions survive lane without falling behind and let Kled's early advantage fade.
Best Synergies with Kled
Team synergies and draft context
A second diver splits enemy focus alongside Kled, since two divers are harder to peel than one. Strong teamfight compositions win 4v4 while Kled splits, which forces impossible rotations. Aggressive junglers and roaming supports snowball leads with Kled's early power spike. Engage supports set up skirmishes in your favor.
Draft Context
- Drafts another diver with no backline carry — Kled disrupts, but the team has no sustained damage
- Locks in a full teamfight comp that can't hold 4v5 while Kled pressures side lanes
- Pairs Kled's early power with other early-game picks that all fall off together after 25 minutes
