How to play against Mordekaiser

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Dodge E before trading so he cannot pull you into passive uptime.
2. Crash waves after kills or won trades instead of staying for plates in his return timer.
3. Avoid ganking him when he is ahead and R is available; he can turn numbers into an isolated duel.
4. Trade cross-map objectives when he shows far away and your team cannot kill him cleanly.
5. Hold key summons, pets, or delayed damage until after R so they are not left outside the duel.

Where Mordekaiser is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Mordekaiser has to walk opponents down, so slows, spacing, and disengage deny his passive uptime.
• Mordekaiser's ultimate removes one target but also removes himself, which can abandon his team during broader fights.
