How to play against Yorick

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Dodge E before trading aggressively. If it misses, kill his small summons and punish before he can trap you with W.
2. Limit early all-ins unless his summons are gone. Yorick's lane damage depends on fighting with setup already on the ground.
3. Kill his large summoned companion before major rotations or recalls. Forcing that cooldown removes much of his side-lane threat.
4. Answer his split push with wave clear first, not a blind chase. Clear the summons, then collapse when he lacks pressure.
5. Remove his summoned companion before committing to Baron or inhibitor fights. Leaving it alive lets Yorick threaten structures while your team is grouped.

Where Yorick is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Yorick's threat depends on prepared summons, so clearing his army removes much of his pressure.
• Yorick is built for side-lane pressure, making forced grouped fights punish him when his split push is contained.
