How to play against Zaahen

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Respect early melee trades until his main cooldowns are shown, then punish the recovery window.
2. Keep the wave closer to your side so aggressive dashes or all-ins leave him exposed.
3. Force him to enter fights through vision instead of giving him flank angles from fog.
4. Disengage after his first commit, then re-enter when his mobility and defensive tools are down.
5. Peel the target he dives first and collapse only after his escape window is gone.

Where Zaahen is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Zaahen needs extended melee access to build stacks, so disengage prevents his duel pattern from taking over.
• Zaahen's dive commits him into the enemy formation, making layered CC punish him before his revive value converts.
