How to play against Rell

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Stay outside her W entry angle when the wave is near the middle of lane. Punish her hard after she misses the engage, because her retreat is slow.
2. Control river entrances before grouping so she cannot start from fog. Spread enough that W and R cannot pull multiple carries into the same follow-up.
3. Hold disengage for her mounted entry and peel backward after she commits. Re-engage while she is dismounted and separated from follow-up.

Where Rell is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Rell's engage commits her body completely, and missed crashes leave her slow, dismounted, and easy to punish.
• Her value depends on teammates following immediately, so quick disengage can strand her before the lockdown matters.
