How to play against Soraka

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Dodge Q even if it costs a minion; her lane sustain depends on landing it.
2. Trade after Q misses, then leave before W healing reverses the exchange.
3. Enter skirmishes through flanks that threaten her directly; front-to-back poke lets her undo damage.
4. Track her R before committing to a close kill, then hold one burst tool for after it lands.
5. Focus her when she steps into heal range; forcing her out makes every other target killable.

Where Soraka is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Soraka's healing engine depends on her own health, so forcing her low makes every ally easier to finish.
• Soraka offers little protection against instant burst when enemies reach her before she can cycle heals.
