How to play against Taric

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Avoid extended melee trades that let his passive reset cooldowns. Step back after short damage before his E can line up.
2. Break away from follow-up engage once your first defense is gone. His lane wins when one stun turns into repeated autos.
3. Kite high-health frontliners instead of standing in their melee range with Taric nearby. Burn damage and spacing beat his short-range resets.
4. Disengage when he starts R. Re-enter after the invulnerability ends instead of wasting burst into it.
5. Hold your engage until his R is forced or too late to save the target. Bait it with pressure, then reset the fight.

Where Taric is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Taric needs melee contact to reset heals and stuns, so kiting him starves his support engine.
• Taric's invulnerability has a long delay, letting enemies disengage or burst targets before it lands.
