How to play against Vladimir

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Back off when empowered Q is ready, then trade after he spends it on a minion.
2. Force W with a light engage before using your real all-in tools.
3. Collapse on side waves with two players; isolated 1v1s let him stall with W and cooldowns.
4. Track Ghost and R before contesting objectives, then kite until his first burst rotation ends.
5. Spread before he enters with R so his burst cannot hit the whole team.

Where Vladimir is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Vladimir's damage is short-ranged and telegraphed, so disciplined spacing keeps him from reaching valuable targets cleanly.
• Vladimir relies on health sustain and scaling, making anti-heal and repeated pressure blunt his core durability pattern.
