League of Legends patch 26.10 is a direct hit to ranked kill pressure and a clear boost to champions who want longer, cleaner fights. Smolder, Naafiri, Shyvana, and Zed all lose damage or durability, so early leads convert into kills less often.

On the other side, Galio gets cheaper Q mana, meaning he can trade and roam more without running out of mana, and his ultimate now rewards building magic resistance with more damage. Zeri gets higher Q damage and keeps her ultimate active longer when she keeps attacking, so she stays dangerous in teamfights. Quinn and Wukong also gain real ranked value through faster jungle impact and stronger extended trades.

What This Means for Ranked

If you play mid, prioritize reliability over burst. Galio is a stronger blind pick because he can use Q more often in lane, then leave lane to help sidelanes without needing an early recall for mana. Meanwhile Zed and Naafiri have less consistent kills, so you should not draft them as your only way to remove the enemy ADC in one combo.

If you are picking ADC, think carefully before locking in scaling picks. Smolder has lower base attack damage and weaker early spell damage, so your lane trades are worse and you reach teamfight carry damage later. If you want a late-game teamfight ADC, Zeri is the clear winner this patch because her Q hits harder and her ultimate lasts longer when she keeps attacking.

If you jungle, update your champion select. Shyvana is easier to kill later because she gains less health per level and her W shield is smaller, so failed engages are punished more often. Quinn is more realistic as a jungle pick due to new bonus damage to monsters, and Wukong gets more damage from his clone and more attack speed from E, which improves both ganks and longer fights.
