League of Legends patch 26.13 introduces Locke, a new roaming assassin built to win early skirmishes and snowball. He adds on-hit magic damage that increases when enemies are low, can mark targets with Ritual Nails for bonus damage, and has a teleport-plus-dash in Ashen Pursuit to reach fights quickly.

For ranked, bot lane carry power rises: Kai'Sa gets more frequent W poke and a much larger R shield, while Aphelios and Draven deal more damage in fights. On the other side, Senna farming carry drops, Brand bot pressure is lower early, and early bullies like Rek'Sai and Rumble have a harder time forcing leads.

What This Means for Ranked

If you want a reliable bot lane carry: prioritize Kai'Sa and Aphelios. Kai'Sa’s R shield jumps to 100/150/200, which means she survives dives and returns damage more often when she ults in. Aphelios gets more bonus AD value across multiple weapons, so when your team protects him, he converts items into more damage than before. Draven also improves as an early snowball pick because his E cooldown is lower, so he can stop engages and set up kills more often.

What to avoid forcing in champ select: think twice before locking farming Senna as a primary damage carry. She gets fewer souls from her own kills and her crit damage is lower, so her late-game damage arrives later and hits less hard. Brand as a bot lane carry also loses early damage and pays more mana for E, so he trades worse unless he is already ahead.

Mid and jungle pressure shifts: LeBlanc is a stronger pick-focused mid because her Mimic damage is higher when you land the combo. If you have been relying on early jungle kills, Rek'Sai finishes targets less often due to lower E damage, while new Locke will punish weak early lanes if he gets a lead.
