Analiza patcha 26.8
League of Legends patch 26.8 is a direct message to solo queue: the winners are champions who can trade more often and farm more reliably, while a few “safe” picks lose early power. Lucian gets his dash more often and it costs less mana, so he can take more short fights without going out of mana. Hwei hits harder when he chains abilities, so his lane trades punish mistakes more.
On the other side, Dr. Mundo jungle clears slower because his monster damage caps are lower, so he reaches items later and has fewer early gank chances. Karma pays more mana for shields and has lower attack damage, so lane pressure and repeated shielding are weaker. Mel loses damage on Q’s first hit and has less frequent, shorter movement speed from W, so she is easier to punish when she mispositions.

What This Means for Ranked
If you want a cleaner climb bot lane, pick for repeatable trades. Lucian can use Relentless Pursuit more often and with fewer mana problems, which means more chances to dodge skill shots and take short fights on your terms. If you play mid, Hwei is stronger when he connects multiple abilities in sequence; expect better damage on common combo patterns, but do not rely on stacking multiple slows to keep targets in place.
If you have been first-picking “safe” early pressure, be more selective. Karma is more punishing to play in lane: lower base attack damage makes last-hitting and early trades worse, and higher E mana cost means you cannot shield as often in longer skirmishes. Mel now gets less reward when only her first Q hit connects, and her W is available less often with a shorter speed duration, so she has fewer safe ways to reposition after being targeted.
Jungle decisions: avoid slower clears, consider faster farmers. Dr. Mundo jungle loses clear speed from lower monster damage caps on Q and E, so expect later levels and later item timings. Lillia clears camps faster from a higher passive monster damage cap that scales with level, making her farming more reliable. Also watch the support lane: Yuumi has stronger, more consistent healing on R, while Tahm Kench hits harder early but gets less payoff from stacking heavy health later.
