How to play against Amumu

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Track his level 6 timing and early ult cooldown before contesting river. Keep enough spacing that one Q cannot turn into a full lockdown.
2. Enter objectives through cleared vision instead of clumping in narrow paths. Force him to show first, then punish if Q misses.
3. Spread carries outside his Flash-R radius before Baron and Elder. Hold peel until he commits, then chain CC before your backline is trapped.

Where Amumu is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Amumu's threat is concentrated in grouped engage, so spread formations and disengage sharply lower his ultimate value.
• He has limited damage without allies following up, making failed engages turn into easy collapses.
