How to play against Karthus

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Crash early waves cleanly, then let the bounce protect you from slow gank paths. Recall before staying at low health where his ult can finish you.
2. Reset earlier than usual before dragons and towers if his ult is available. Force skirmishes when he is far from the fight or has already spent it.
3. Keep health high before Baron and Elder starts. Disengage and reset after close fights instead of giving his passive and ult a cleanup window.

Where Karthus is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Karthus is immobile and cannot force targets to stay, so gap closers and disengage punish his positioning.
• His damage is strongest when fights stay extended or low-health, making clean resets deny his global cleanup.
