How to play against Master Yi

Lane and teamfight rules that hold regardless of your pick.

In lane and in teamfights

1. Hold dashes or Flash until after his Q so he cannot follow your escape.
2. Keep early trades near your turret when he is on your side of the map.
3. Save hard CC for the moment he exits Q or commits with R.
4. Wait out W before spending burst so his damage reduction does not waste your kill window.
5. Layer CC instead of dumping it all at once; one clean reset can let him wipe the fight.

Where Master Yi is weak

Exploit these in draft and in lane.

• Master Yi must enter melee range to deal damage, so layered hard CC stops his reset chain.
• Master Yi offers little utility before kills happen, making failed cleanup attempts leave his team without control.
